A concept for Aqua Voice’s designer who codes: a dictation layer that floats above any app, cleans up as you speak, and gets out of the way.
Press and hold the pill or the space bar. Tap once to talk hands-free. The speech is scripted, and no audio is recorded.
Dictation should not be a feature of one editor. It is a layer that sits over everything, so the design has to be calm, tiny, and identical in every context. Hover the stack to pull it apart.
On typography, motion, and interaction, for a product people speak to all day.
Output is set in a text face with real punctuation and a comfortable measure. People should read it as their own voice, not a log.
A looping wave is decoration. A wave driven by level tells you the mic hears you. Drag the slider to see only one of them care.
When you press to speak, the interface must answer before you finish pressing. Anything slower makes people repeat themselves.
I design first and ship my own work in React, TypeScript, and CSS. I would love to own the desktop app, the web, and marketing with you.
Independent concept, not affiliated with Aqua Voice. The demo is scripted and simulated.
